Drake Drops Take Care Album Cover
Wednesday, September 28th, 2011With Take Care‘s October 24th release date creeping up, Drake dropped the album cover which features the man himself sitting at a table in a very shi-shi Italian restaurant surrounded by some very odd iconic objects including a small golden owl paperweight, a gold-plated candle holder and a golden chalice, and Drake is framed by some gold…frames, wearing a black shirt, a gold bracelet and gold chains. If there’s a theme here we’re not sure we see it yet. Drake is somberly looking down into his cup with appears empty. A turkey leg wouldn’t appear out of place in this medieval setting but its omission results in a classy if mysteriously vague image. The songs that have dropped so far are pure gold so maybe this bodes well.
Take Care Release Date Set
Tuesday, June 21st, 2011One of the most anticipated new albums of the year, the release date for Drake’s Take Care has been set for October 24, 2011. Drake dropped a single from the album called Marvin’s Room that finds Drake lamenting about fame, women and the party scene. There’s a line around the block outside the club of dudes who would trade their problems with you any time, Drake. Check out underwater beats below:
Who’s Watching the Throne?
Saturday, May 28th, 2011The hip hop world has been abuzz recently over lyrics from DJ Khaled’s upcoming We The Best Forever album. On a leaked track titled I’m On One, Drake raps “Hate the rumors hate the bulls–t hate these f—in allegations/im just feelin like the throne is for the taking. Watch me take it.” Those are pretty weighted words in light of the soon to be completed Jay-Z/Kanye West collaboration Watch the Throne. Not to mention that the two heavyweights sound pretty good on the first single off that album, H.A.M. Check it out below. Lil Wayne and Rick Ross also guest on the DJ Khaled track. Looks like a rivalry brewing.
Drake’s Latest Track Leaks
Thursday, May 26th, 2011With anticipation of Drake’s follow-up to his debut Thank Me Later burning up the Interweb, Drake leaked the first track from his sophomore effort Take Care. The track is called Dreams Money Can Buy and sounds a little like last year’s Trey Songz assist Successful. Check it out:
Lil Wayne appearance at Drake’s Las Vegas concert?
Friday, November 5th, 2010From hints and rumors circulation both on- and offline, Lil Wayne could be appearing at the Las Vegas Drake concert this Saturday, November 6. That’s right, a Lil Wayne Drake Las Vegas concert is a definitely possibily this weekend. This is a huge announcement as it would be the first Lil Wayne appearance since he was released from prison on November 4. “I would just advise you to book a ticket out there. If you can get tickets to that show on the 6th, I would strongly advise it,” Drake said in an interview with MTV. As Drake and Lil Wayne are arguably the biggest names in hip hop, this Las Vegas show could be one of the biggest events of the year, on par with the Eminem and Jay Z concerts at Yankee Stadium and Comerica Park this summer. You can be there with some Drake Las Vegas Show tickets available at online sites like Ticket Liquidator and Stubhub.
Lil Wayne was just released from prison on November 4. He was serving time for illegal firearm possession and an attempt to buy. And according to Weezy’s camp, the a Lil Wayne appearance at the Drake concert in Las Vegas could definitely happen. “If the concert happens, it happens,” Birdman of Cash Money recently said, however he said family comes first. “I think what’s important, we want to see family first,” The Drake Las Vegas Show on Saturday, November 6 is the last stop on this fall’s Light Dreams and Nightmares Tour. Drake is also booked to play at the Wild Jam with Chris Brown on December 16 in San Jose California. Tickets are starting around $200, but you can check out all the Drake San Jose tickets for the details.
